Professor Saifur Rahman is founder of BEM Controls. He is the founding director of the Advanced Research Institute (www.ari.vt.edu) at Virginia Tech where he is the Joseph R. Loring professor of electrical and computer engineering. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and an IEEE Millennium Medal winner.
Manisa Pipattanasomporn is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of BEM Controls and an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
Rasheq Rahman is the COO of BEM Controls has more than fifteen years of strategy and operations experience in the financial services and IT industries. He served as a Senior Advisor to the general manager of IBM’s Global Government business developing industry-specific go-to-market strategies. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Yale.
Yonael Teklu is the systems engineer of BEM Controls and the Information Technology Officer at Virginia Tech’s Advanced Research Institute. He received his B.Sc. degree from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, and M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
